Berlin's museum island has several very interesting museums, especially the archaeological museums (Pergamonmuseum and Neues Museum).
The Pergamon Museum for instance shows impressive buildings reconstructed from ruines, such as the Pergamon Altar, the Ishtar Gate of Babylon and the Market Gate of Miletus.
