Sunset on Rennes

A colorful sky stretched over Rennes yesterday (though the weather was suddenly quite cold...)

Travelling to Rennes this week, I decided to enjoy the nice weather and walked up the Villaine river banks from the city center.

The view was really nice so I snapped a few shots of the colorful canal boats...

Unfortunately we're still too early in the year, so when I went outside with my friend's macro lens looking for green things I was a bit disappointed...

The only living things I came across of were some little birdies hiding in a stable nearby :-)

Some red cherry-like fruits had fallen on the snowy ground when I went out, and the color contrast was absolutely stunning.

It really reminded me of the Snow White fairy tale: bright red, white, and black (for the first picture at least): isn't that a perfect copy of the well-know description in the tale?

To my eyes they show that even with this bad weather (they said it was a 'pollution snow') Nature was still quite a heartwarming sight!

Happy New Year!

During those last days of the year, with the cold weather that usually comes along, some cherry-like fruits have appeared on the trees near my place...

I had some really funny moments playing there with the traffic lights to generate a bright red bokeh that would match the color of the fruits :-)
