A new sign of that Spring is coming soon, crocus flowers have appeared - can't wait for insects to show up as well, I so much enjoy taking pictures of them with my macro lens!

Versailles gardens
A nice (re)discovery today: the gardens of the Versailles castle!
I hadn't visited them since a long time, as free visits are usually not possible between Spring and Autumn due to the fountains and musical gardens shows that are planned during that period.
I really enjoyed walking in the gardens again - even though most of the statues were still covered for the cold season. Just look at those wonderful fountain decorations!

New lens
A little trip to the forest to try out a new lens, kindly lended to me by my photography 'sensei' : the Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM lens (mounted on a Sony a7II camera for the occasion).
As I usually use my long-loved 50mm F1.8 lens or - less frequently - a 90mm F2.8 macro lens on my APSC a6000 camera, this new lens was a nice discovery: I am not used to taking wide and no-blur landscape pictures! I really enjoyed playing with this lens, though in the end I don't think it is a type of photos that I will really practice often in the future :-)

Great Mosque
The Great Mosque of Paris, located in the 5th arrondissement, is a wonderful place to visit. It had been quite some time since I first wanted to have a look at its buildings, when I just happened to be very near the place with some free time - a perfect opportunity!
