Photo mash-up #21

Today theme will be: BUSTED & GREEN :-)

Happy 'busted despite the green' day :-)

Pastel vibes

Some delicate colors in pastel shades :-)

And another pool of bokeh pictures... I really love my 50 mm 1.8 :-)

Slimy, yet...

Snails are...

Let's say, slimy yet satisfying when you're looking for a quick photo subject :-D

Intimidating style

Look a this teeny tiny spider, so cute and not frightening...

But disturb it one moment, and it will show its belligerent behavior and begin the war dance :-(

Spring firebugs

With their bright red back, fireflies undoubtedly are easy to spot and are among my favorite photography insects - after ladybugs of course :-)

The macro lens is really amazing for enhancing their tiny details: delicate antennae, eyes and legs.

Spiders

Here again, don't scroll further if you're afraid of spiders!

As I belong to this kind of people, it was a really difficult task for me to take macro pictures of those spiders. They would regularly make a sudden movement that would cause me to jump 10 feet backwards screaming and/or with shaking hands & legs, since macro lenses make everything look closer and bigger than how they really are :-(

Danger ahead

Nightmare on a thread

Sun king

Unsuccessful hiding

It seems like the little insects below tried to hide, but were not so talented in doing so: an antenna is still showing, or the color camouflage went totally wrong ;-)

Photo mash-up #20

Today theme will be: PURPLE GREEN!

That's quite an unusual color combination in Nature, thus really nice to see and capture :-)

Happy 'purple green' day :-)

Morning dew

A few morning dew pictures in a countryside garden (I miss this place so much now that I'm back in the city...)

I just love the texture of the tiny droplets hanging on the top of the leaves.

And look at those terrible claws!!!

Vegetal claws

Long-legged

If you are afraid of spiders and crawling things, you'd better stop scrolling right now :-D

I wanted to focus on those two little creatures who had (in my eyes) amazingly long 'legs' as compared to their whole body size...

(I'm not so fond of spiders, so the photo-taking process was not really enjoyable for me, especially with the macro lens making everything seem closer and bigger!)

Wide angle

Posing crane fly

Little winged things

I was in the countryside for a few days last month, and had a lot of time to look for little things to take photos of :-) As expected, the first ones to catch my eyes were some small flying insects: less easy to frighten off, they would stay still all the time I needed to adjust my camera.

But soon after I managed to photograph other animals, I'll show them in future articles - still need time to process all of the billions pictures I took...

Afraid of heights

Curious glare

Water bubbles

Macro photography again

A cloud of deliciously soft pink: we could almost forget they are flowers! My macro lens only could highlight them so well.

How frail do these petals appear...Almost edible, don't you think? :-D

A touch of green to go along with Nature's Spring festival :-)

...Here also!

Pink everywhere

In front of my apartment building, all trees have started blooming in gigantic clouds of creamy white or blush pink. That's just so wonderful, with the petals being blown away when the wind becomes a little stronger :-)

Korean food

A very good friend of mine is an absolute lover of Korean things (...especially dramas), and as she's on vacation in this country right now, I wanted to take photos of some Korean dishes that I really like.

Hence a few pictures of bibimbap (rice mixed with vegetables and meat - beef here) and kimbap, a Korean equivalent of the Japanese futomaki.

There are lots of other Korean food that are just as delicious, I'll try to take more pictures next time :-)

Hot dogs

Those little dogs were so cute, I couldn't resist taking some pictures of them...
As they were constantly running after each other, it was really difficult for me to finally get clear and no-blur pictures!
