It was so nice to walk along those cute countryside paths (though I must confess I still prefer the Sentier des Douaniers in Brittany, closer to the coast since granite cliffs are less brittle than chalk ones)...

Le Tréport

Another nice excursion near Dieppe is the city of Le Tréport, a very pretty place renowned for its funicular which allows you to get to the top of the highest cliffs in the area :-)

I spent hours trying to catch the perfect wave shape, right at the moment where it begins to break or creates a big splash of water... but it was much mpore difficult than I thought!

Pourville countryside

Pourville-sur-Mer is a small city near Dieppe (basically the next cove in the southern direction...) and though its beach did not strike me as very special, I have fallen in love with the countryside around this place. 

The Scie river, which flows into the sea at Pourville, creates a beautiful landscape on its way to the sea and motivated numerous famous artists to paint its beautiful banks.

The old castle of Dieppe, now a museum, is located on a small hill near the beach and offers an amazing view on the city and the sea.

How nice it is to be able to travel again! I was longing for some sea views, some I went to the city of Dieppe in Normandy, with its beautiful white chalk cliffs...
