Versailles gardens

A new discovery in the Paris area: the park around the Queen's hamlet :-)

I had already visited the inner gardens of Versailles (with the fountains), however I had not had the opportunity to discover this park yet. A very nice walk in the end, quite different from the main gardens with its quiet bucolic paths!

I always had a passion for taking pictures of old buildings (especially doors), so here are a few new ones!

House of Chateaubriand

I had never been to the house of Chateaubriand in the Paris area before, and it was a really nice discovery. Not too far from my place, and with a delightful garden to explore - all that I could wish for!

I only visited the gardens in the end (there was so much to see there...) but will definitely come back another day to visit the rest of the domain, especially the inside of the main building which seems really interesting :-)

A full range of insects

A little canal near my place is the perfect spot for insect hunting. I get to shoot (with my camera) a wide range of little creatures, from ladybugs to mosquitoes, so I always start from there when I want to take some insect macro photos...

Green aphids

Insects are now out - my next favorite photography topic after flowers!

Starting with aphids, because I so much dislike to touch those insects that I love taking zoomed photos of them (quite contradictory I know...). Same feeling happens to me with spiders: I'm soooo afraid of them in real life, but they are a fascinating subject for my camera!
